I’ve been braiding for several years, now. Most of my braid work is done with kangaroo, using hand cut and prepared strings from full hides. When a core is required, I use leather or rawhide. A good latigo leather is my second choice in braiding material, but nothing beats the strength and suppleness of kangaroo. I do some smaller pieces and buttons in rawhide.

Besides tack, I make gun belts, holsters and a variety of miscellaneous leather gear. You can see some samples in the gallery.
